So here is my dilemma:
I have star zann and plan to get 25 with micarta inlays
since that knife is not available yet I would like to get small in mean time (to get my fix)

Now I am at a total loss as to which small to get

option 1
plain jane with double studs -$385 (classic look, + symmetrically complete)
or
option 2
micarta inlays single stud - $425 (improved grip, warm to touch slightly thicker)

difference in price is negligible and not important

what would you choose/suggest?

THX

I always thought micarta was the way to go for improved grip, but once I actually got one I found that I preferred the thinness of the regular Ti handles.

Also, I am a big fan of the double studs for both visual appeal and utility reasons.

So, I would opt for the plain with double studs.

Plain sebenza for sure!! I don't think that you can beat the aesthetically pleasing look and feel of the plain jane! I have one and I have looked at the micarta inlays side by side. And I think there is no comparison IMO of the simplicity of the plain!

Tough one. I love my small micarta, but love my small plain regular just as much.
You may have to flip a coin on that one.

Tough call. I really like my small micarta though. Yes, the micarta makes the knife thicker, but that's what I like about it. The knife is so dang small anyways, but the micarta helps me to get a better purchase on the handle when opening. You can't deny the compactness of a small plain though. The small micarta is still very compact.
