This is my latest knife. I want to thank everybody for the help with the mortised tang and the etch. It was fun to work with a wood chisel but I still have a LOT to learn.
The damascus is made by Achim Wirtz and he calls it "XXX rated " :D
The handle is olive tree wood.
For the etch I have tried Coca Cola on a piece of scrap, but wasn't happy about the result. For the blade I used HCl + water (1/3) and it worked fine. Stinks like hell but etches good.
The photos and scans are not very good but here they are:

What Laurence said!!!!!;) Looks like a handy little knife. What are you going to do about a pocket sheath?

Hey Flava, cool! It's nice to know people like Achim, eh? :D I carry a little fixed blade pocket knife too, it's nice and works very well. Glad to seen I'm not unusual alone anymore! Thanks for sharing. That's pretty wood too.
