Hey guys. What are some high quality smaller folders in the Sebenza and William Henry E6 class that are readily available? Preferably in the $275-$400 range? Pics or links?

Some more details would help us a lot. Think about questions such as locking or slipjoint and closed length, blade shape, and steel.

You have already named the ones that typify this class. Why look further?
Don't waste your time. These two rank #1 and #1. IMO.

Define what exactly you want. One hand opener? Fixed blade replacement folder? Gentleman's knife? Framelock? Plain handle? Blade profile?

At that range, if not those 2 you might be looking at a custom, depending on how picky you are.

Spyderco techno
Spyderco GB Air
Benchmade 480-1 Shoki & the 482 Megumi (and all variations)
Benchmade 771 (a few color variations)
CRK Mnandi
Less $$ but SS versions of the small spyderco's are very gentlemanly looking.

Cereal_killer,
Thanks for those suggestions. I've given some thought to the Mnandi. What are you impressions of the 480-1 Shoki? Is the quality there? What are your impressions of the Naklok?

Highly recommend this one. Mnandi, -1 Shoki, 707. Alot more out there. Started looking at sub 3" recently myself. This was my first choice...There will be more.

A G Russell has a couple of framelocks in Ti and either VG10 or ZDP189. Both are in your price range.

Thanks guys. Exactly what I was asking for. You've given me a lot to look at. Thanks again.

I have both except the sbenza is a small sbenza. I love them both but love the small sbenza more. It feels more substantial and build quality is better. The WH clip rides lower and I find myself carrying it only when I want to be more discreet. JMHO for what it's worth.

Carbon fiber scale small Sebenza Insingo is the one I'll be buying if I ever go small.

I prefer bigger knives but if I go small, that is the one for me. I'd probably never carry it, just look at it and admire it for what it is. Which is fine with me. I have plenty to carry, I just like knives.

I'd also look at Moki, Mcusta, and Fallkniven for a very well-made small gent's folder. For something a little more Traditional, look to the Case/Tony Bose collabs...

Good luck! :)

I really like my Mnandi....very smooth and the blade is very similar to the small sebenza. I am not a huge fan of nail nicks, but make an exception for this knife. I also have the Gayle Bradley air, it is one of the toughest and smoothest knives I have ever had. I have literally pounded on mine and use it more than my sebenza or Mnandi...the steel just does not dull. Very tough knife for the size. I have the shoki's as well the knife is good, I have had problems with centering and the thum stud rips up my hands so it is not really fun to flip, but it is a good knife.
