I had never seen a Sebenza ' live ' until mine arrived from CRK last week, and all i have to say is that its worth every damn dollar and more.
The only problem is that i purcashed a Large Reg Sebenza and it is bigger than i had thought...( its all good though )so now i have to get a Small Sebenza , but the question remains Classic or Regular?
I prefer the Reg in Large however what is more user friendly in a Small?
Thanking you

I would go with a classic.

But, if you don't mind a suggestion, try one with an inlay. It does give the smaller knife a noticeably improved hold and grip. I would go for wood personally, but the new Micarta models have received a tremendous welcome and were introduced specifically for their function as a user assistance.

BWT, the Mnandi is worth a look, too, if you are looking for a considerably smaller option  They are a tremendous little knife and every bit as good as the Sebenza. We're not helping much are we ................

I guess i just need to know whether the classic is easier to open than the reg?

I'm partial to the small classic, which, personally, I find easier to open (due to its larger thumbstud cutout).

Hi Kostak,

I had a small classic and it felt great in my hand.
The cut away in the handle for the lock depression makes it very ergonomic for light or heavy use.

Out of the box, it felt a lot more natural than my Large Regular did when I first got it.

Either one I'm sure will please you well, but I think it would be a nice contrast for you to go with the Classic, (that way you can see if you want to order a Large Classic as well sometime.

Have fun.

I really like the regular design. I like the way if feels in my hand better when open. Also, I don't have a problem opening either the classic or the regular.

Plus I wanted to make this decision difficult for you :p
