My first small Sebenza arrived today and it is definately a keeper.It is a regular with CGG pattern WebSight with hematite inlay.
This will probaly be my main edc,i think the size fits my needs more than the large for daily small chores,,opening packages,mail,cutting fruit n veggies etc.I really like the regular type scales,,im able to choke up on the knife more if wanted and think it may be a more versatile than the 21 type scales.For daily use im use to this size knife more than the large Sebenza,,,but the Large will definatley handle my caping,deboning needs when im hunting.
The website spider web is really cool and i luv the fact that the scales are sandblasted then the web design engraved into it,,,its a more user friendly finish than my Freedom CGG large Sebenza with the polished side,(shows smudges).These sandblasted sides have a nice matt finish to contrast the webdesign when the lite hits it from different angles when you move it around,,,i like it!The hematite inlay looks fantastic too and goes with the web pattern very well,,,,looks awesome.
This small is every bit as smooth as my large but you dont get the same feel as you do the large when the blade LOCKS in.If you are getting your first Sebenza i would reccomend a large before you got the small.I have no problem opening the small regular with the smaller thumblugs compared to the large Sebe.Ive read some people haveing a harder time deploying the blade of the small regular Sebe.
If i had to choose one between the large and the small for my daily needs the small would fit my needs better but the large would fit my hunting needs after the shot alot better.Both great knives and i definately need a few of both of them,,,hehehe : ) Im really happy with both my large and small Sebenza purchases,,,,these knives are really something special!
One last thing,i ordered this knife from Only Fine Knives on Fri and it arrived today on Monday.Very good service getting my knife out.I also had good service from Travis from Edged Specialties so thumbs up to both these merchants!
