I know lots of you on the forum have small seb. Do any of you that do

have and carry one have big hands and how does it fit your hand?Do you not

carry it because a large is more comfortable and fits better.

Thanks Craig

Looking for a large Regular

I don't have giant hands but the small Seb is quite comfortable to use. I carry the small as an "urban" EDC when
I'm at work and the like but the large is defo more comfortable to use given there is just more to hang on to.

I wear size large gloves, so there are hands bigger and smaller than mine. The small sebbie fits my hand nicely, but my larger regular sebbie definately fills my hand more, and is definately more comfortable during heavy cutting tasks. Of the small, the regular is what I like best. The 21 does nothing for me, but thats just my personal opinion.

I have pretty large hands. I have to wear XL gloves. At the very least I have large palms and a very "thick" hand. I find the small sebenza to be a great everyday carry. Mine has been on me just about everyday of the year for the last three years. It doesn't "fill" my hand however it is very comfortable for me to use fo MY edc chores. My umnumzaan has replaced it for now but I don't see my small sebenza getting pushed out of edc rotation completely.

I've got large hands, wear XL glove, and the plain small felt kinda small for me.
I got a small micarta when they first came out, and the inlays help ALOT.
I fits my hand much better, and is my favorite folder.

I THOUGHT the Sm. was perfect... but how can one know without actual experience? It was all over for the Sm. Seb once I actually started carrying the Lg. IMO, the Sm. is like a toy in comparison even though looking at the specs it does not SEEM that much smaller... and the Large really is not "large." For me, the comparison and compromise is soooo different that I would not bother to carry a Sm. Seb. As long as you are going for "small" I would recommend the Mnandi if yer willing to spend the bucks. For me if I'm already making a great compromise, I may as well take it a small step further and just carry a smallish Benchmade or Spyderco... Bit my EDC is definitely a Large 21! JMO.

I also have large hands and the small Seb is, well, too small.

The large is much more practical and for dress I just carry a
Mnandi clipped in my collar or shirt pocket next to my pen.

JMHO -Ron

I should add that the small sebenza that I referred to earlier has wood inlays so perhaps that helps more than I realize. I have never used a plain small sebenza. I really do think part of this will depend on what your EDC chores are. For the most part my edc knife gets used in an office environment and for harder jobs I generally have a larger knife that I care less about nearby. For some reason I seem to have knives all around me all the time :) My Umnumzaan is certainly better for extended or harder chores. I really do think it just depends on what you find yourself using your knives for. 85% of the time my small sebenza works for me and the rest of the time I have something else. I've never really bought into the "one knife for all activities" philosophy.

Do you find you can get a good 4 finger grip on the small seb or is your pinky sorta hanging off the end?

I own a large, but its a little big for my school/work environment so I would like to get a small to supplement it. However, its hard to judge the size on the internet, and there are no dealers around me either.

I don't have Ron's big paws, but in my medium size hands the pinky is left hangin' a bit.

This doesn't bother me at all because the small is usually reserved for business attire. A Mnandi would probably fit the bill for this as well, but that's still on the waiting list. For me, the small Seb. is a excellent blend of functionality, strength, and (this pains me to say) political correctness around the gentle folk.

Weekends are all about the large tho.:D

TASTY lookin' BG42 ya got there!!! That photo ALMOST makes me miss my regulars... I EDC'd a set like that for almost 8 years!!! I much prefer the 21 now....but the "plain" regs. are easily more attractive knives!

Pinky is completely hanging off. For me the butt of the knife sits just about in the middle of my hand when I use it.

Dallas/TLR thanks for the replies.

It's too late to turn back now!! I actually want for more of an office carry role. So I think I should be ok. I got the small 21 w/ Micarta.

You won't regret it, but I predict you will get a large at some point. Aesthetically, I like the large better but in reality, I end up carrying the small about twice as much due to the easier carry size and in deference to others at work:rolleyes: I get raised eyebrows when I pull this puppy out to open an envelope or a ream of paper. It does get respect on the jobsite, however.
