Looking for some opinions from those who have had both and can say which one they prefer and why. I told myself I was gonna stay away from Strider but broke down and got a stonewashed SMF that is awesome and since it looks like I am gonna be waiting awhile for a small Umnuum I figured I get a small seb or PT to hold me over. This is not a need item just a want so any opinions from guys who have owned both are welcome.

Do a search. This is yet another subject that has been beaten to death.

If you're just talking about one vs. the other, I prefer the Small Sebenza. You also have to consider the cool-factor of having more than one size in the same pattern, though. In that sense, the PT compliments the SmF better.

I think the Small Seb works better in that size than the PT does. My favorite size in the Strider trifecta is the SnG. I would rather have all three sizes of the CRK pattern and one SnG than the other way around.

They are all highly desirable knives, though.

i have both and like them, allthough i carry my carbon fiber zdp caly more and my 3" hinderer flipper a lot more, it is a perfect edc for me

I struggle with folders < 3.5" but the small sebenza seems to just flat out works well.

I have both, and love both. But they are an apples and oranges comparison. The Sebbie is more of a gent's knife, while the PT is tough little knife. I am not saying that the Sebbie isn't tough. I LOVE both my PT & Sebbie, I couldn't not choose bewteen the two.

I've had a few small sebbies and an SnG CC... I would probably not buy either of these two again but it is because I have large hands... I would think that the Sm 21 would be much better since it does not have specific finger grips... so I vote Sm 21!

If you already have a strider, why not try the small sebenza.

I have both, prefer strider PT. If you don't have any sebenzas and have one strider already, then definitely go for small 21 at least to check it out.

I went ahead an ordered to Ranger SW PT from TNK to match the Ranger SW SMF. I will wait on the small Um to match my large Ums. I love the Um more than the Seb so not having a small Seb is not a problem the deciding factor for me too is that yes I agree the Seb is more gently but I just hardly EVEr need to be a gent:)

You won't be happy until you get both.
The Sebenza has more cutting length on the blade. IMO is eaiser to carry in the pocket.
The PT is probably the toughest small folder there is. It has more options for you to hold the knife because of the large choil on the blade. The PT will take a few days to, "break in" and get the same smoothness as the Sebenza.
I have both and if I was forced to keep only one it would be the small Sebenza.

I had both. Got rid of the small PT because it was too small. The small seb is perfect!

The SNG CC is more comparable in size to the small seb.
