Small Sebenza 21 vs Acies2

Well i just recently bought a small sebenza 21 and im in love with it. I think it has really kickstarted the collector in me. I was wondering if anyone has both of these knives and if yall like the acies2 i tried searching but didnt see much in the forums already. Im pretty sure i want to purchase it but i would love to hear what you all think first.

I have a small Sebenza and a full sized Acies, but I talked to Mr. Russell at blade and he allowed me to examine his Acies 2.

They are both great knives - the Acies seemed to have more blade for it's size, and it has the ZDP-189 and that beautiful leaf blade.

The Acies 2 has a similar finish to the finish on the lockbar on my Sebenza (my version is polished with inlays, so the only part that is the matte finish is the lockbar).

The knives are comparable in size.

The Acies has a better pocket clip, allowing for deep pocket carry, which is my preference.

yeah the pocket clip, blade steel and hinderer lock stop are what have grabbed my attention, in the process of buying now actually :). My state(RI) only allows 3" knifes so this and the sebenza are great options. Can't wait to compare the two. I just found the review on the acies2 in the reviews section. Thanks mqqn

I love my Sebenza, but I use my Acies more - remember I have the larger one.

Good luck - I think you will love the Acies 2 - I know Mr. Russell was VERY proud of that knife at Blade, and it was the knife he had in HIS pocket.

I have both a small Sebenza, small Insingo, Mnandi, a large bg42 Sebenza and a Acies2. I find myself preferring the Acies2 because of the shape of the blade and extreme sharpness of the ZDP189 steel. The deep carry clip is very nice and comes out of the pocket or in my case the waist band very quickly and easily. And I do love this design of the Acies2 and the Hinderer lock enhancement lock stop. To me it seems the Acie2 came sharper than my recent Sebenzas although the Sebenzas are no slough in the sharpness deptartment.

you should check out the three sisters forge beast as well if you like that size of blade.
 
i have a small carbon fiber sebenza and just got an acies2 today in the mail.
i do like them both and think they are both quality items.
the sebenza was about $100 more than the acies2.

i think the acies2 was waaay sharper out of the box and both open and close nicely.
at first both knives were tough to open and after a few flicks they settled into smooth openings.

i think this acies2 is going to be in my pocket for some time to come. i like the blade design but would like one of those pig-tailed sebenza type lanyards on it. i will watch some youtube videos and see if i can replicate one.

Not a bad try at all. Yeah i am really enjoying the acies2 also. i cant believe how smooth the opening is once you get it going. with the slightest flick of your thumb, it literally flies open while keeping a nice and strong lock. Did that sheath come with it?
