I finially took apart my small woodie classic sebbie and cleaned it.I did it just like the "how to" instructions. When I put it together I tried to turn the connections(screws & fittings) around so the torx openings were on the clip side.I was able to switch all of them around except the pivot.I could'nt get it to fit in the pivot hole.I gave up and put them back where they originally were.I was very careful to not bend the washers.I used the CRK lube. When I put it together the blade was'nt centered like before. Now when I close it sometimes the blade rubs slightly against the handle next to the thumb stud.Anyone have any ideas?

Take it apart again and follow the directions carefully when you put it back together.

Look at the FAQ's up above for the step by step process.

Also look at Youtube; someone posted a very good video on the whole process.

FYI, first time I cleaned a seb, I had the exact same problem because I made an error. I looked at the video and it showed the whole process.

Sounds like one of the washers has slipped off center. I concur with the above advice.

You should be able to switch the pivot screw around, again it sounds like a washer or bushing centering issue.

Well I gave it another shot and now the blade is centered fine.Man I feel like a jerk. Also I forgot to mention this small Sebbie was'nt as smooth opening as my other 2 large ones. The clip was pretty tight against the handle.I bent it back very slightly and now its as smooth as the others.Rich,RNST,& DaveH thanks for your help.

My large Regular and large 21 are a little off too... 21 never disassebled, Regular disassembled cleand and lubed twice. I'm pretty sure the Regular was like that new. I know when it's not properly reassembled and that's not the problem. This kinda sucks that both my Sebs are off and my Umnum isn't.

I do it differently than I saw in that thread and it centers perfect. I don't flip the screws. I start with the locking side barrels and bushings in and then I stack the pivot starting with the pivot bushing then the small washer, blade, larger washer and put the slab on and screw in all the screws tightening them all the way down. If that doesn't work CRK will fix it for you.

I do it the same way. Stacking is way easier than trying to pinch and squeeze those washers in.
