Hey guys just wondering if any of you know if I can send my small 21 with a drop point blade in and get it swapped out with an insingo blade?

I'm probably going to send them an email anyway, just seeing if you guys might be able to give me a quicker answer or some insight/experiences you may have

Just saw a small with an insingo and regular blade on the exchange. Guy said that CRK did it for him.

IIRC I believe they won't switch out a clip point blade for an Insingo blade. But, they will switch out an Insingo blade for a clip point.

Even if they will switch I am sure it would cost you. Probably cheaper to sell/re-buy or do a trade on the exchange b

I bought a Large 21 Insingo with Micarta. I was told by Angela at CRK that purchasing this configuration, large or small, would allow you to have custom fitted a regular 21 blade. It cost me $135. + shipping. I paid an additional 35 for the double thumb stud. It took over 2 months. She said they wouldn't add an Insingo if I had bought the regular blade first. You can always call and ask, anyway. Sometimes things change.

@cigarrodog: why the second blade?
I think that would make my crazy, as I't think about which one the take each and every day. ;)

Good question, red mag. This was my first CRK. No place close enough to see them. From impressions here, and images, I was drawn to the Insingo and Micarta Inlay, but still felt uncertain. So I checked in with CRK and was told that this configuration (large or small), entitled me to the option of purchasing an additional regular blade. When I received the knife, I liked it, but as expected, it was not smooth. I knew that CRK would remedy this, and figured this was the time to exercise the additional blade option. It was reasonably priced, took a little more than two months, and came back incredibly smooth. I ended up reluctantly selling it, bought a couple more CRKs, and the extra blade enhanced the sale. As to driving one crazy, deciding which blade to go with, I saw this decision, if I had kept it, gave me two knives in one. To me, an additional blade for $135+ $35 for added thumb stud+ shipping was a decision I'll repeat on my next Insingo with Micarta Inlay purchase.

I got a Small Classic XX African Blackwood that had no blade. I found a great forum member that hooked me up with a BG-42 plain which , luckily worked well. I then sent it in for fitting a serrated SV-35 ... Mostly carry aLG whatever, but when I do carry the small it's a fun choice!

I have a small Regular that I sent in for a Damascus blade. They have no trouble doing that I should think.

I will attempt to show a photo of my small with both blades...Yeah it worked,,, you guys are in for it now!
