Hello

I am interested in a small sebenza 21 with ladder Damascus blade
What scales would you recommend ?
Micarta inlays, plain ti, CGG?

The CGG looks good but I am afraid it may not age well
Does anyone has picture of an user CGG?

Wood is always nice, and plain speaks to a lot of us,,,, Micarta is super durable and adds a nice contrast. A ladder blade and a ladder CCG looks nice,,, I have one in large....

Are the scales on the CCG very prone to scratches? (Compared to the TI ones...)

I will carry and use it for small EDC tasks so it will wear, so I am a little bit anxious about the CCG scales looking bad

Unfortunately, yes, the polished scale on the CGG will show scratches more easily. However, wood inlays always have polished scales, too, and the same is true for scratches on them. Micarta inlay has bead blasted scales, which will pick up "snail trails" but they tend to add character and patina over time.

My choice would be the CGG scale to match the ladder Damascus and then carry it in the CRK calfskin sleeve to isolate it from items in your pockets. The leather pouch/sleeve also develops a patina and molded shape over time that adds character.

I like UG's.
