Small Sebenza or Strider PT?

It depends on what you want. A gents folder that is rock solid.....i would go for Sebenza. A solid workhorse that might be a little rough around the edges but would cut through a steel door if it had to......go with a Strider. Even though the PT is a little classy for the Strider line of knives it is still a tank and is backed with one hell of a warranty.

What exactly is the warranty on the Strider knives? Does the warranty cover repair any damage that occurs to the knife due to hard use. Does that even include prying?

And is it easy to take a Strider apart to clean like a Sebenza?

Make it a PT-CC and you have a very difficult choice. But between the regular PT and Small Sebenza, Sebenza wins hands down, at least for me. Sebenza may be seen as a gentleman's knife but it is a tough hard working knife. Not overbuilt like Strider but certainly amongst the stronger folders on the market.

I would go with the Sebenza, mainly because I like Ti on both sides. If Strider's G10 is anything like Emerson's, the G10 on the Strider will give you better grip than blasted Ti.

The warranty is if you break it or damage it they will fix or replace it for the cost of shipping.
As for taking apart to clean. It is really not needed. If have found that compressed air works well. Strider has asked that you not take them apart. They recommend WD-40, compressed air and a q tip for cleaning.

I've owned both PT CC and varieties of sm sebs.. I think the CC is the cooler and more gent of the two. but it was just a TAD small for forceful cutting. I'd recommend the Seb more for function.. I also don't like the look or feel of the classic or 21... Snag a "reg" while you can! Honestly, if I were in the market, I'd give the Mnandi serious consideration.

So let's say I used my Strider PT as a prybar, will the warranty cover that?

And if I were to choose between the small Sebenza Classic or Regular, which would you get? I heard the shape of the Classic/21 makes it difficult to handle as well as a Regular.

The Stride PT is not really designed as a pry bar, but providing you hadn't modified the knife, it's probably covered under their warranty.

Re the small Sebbies, I have two Regular and one Classic and don't see any difference in their handling.

Really? I read that the Classic was a little difficult to handle as well as the Regular since it had a more prominent "curve" on the handle that limited the grasp on the small handle. Basically, if you have bigger than average hands, you might be better serve to get the small Regular. At least that's what I heard.

I have both and like both...but the PT finds itself in my pocket more than the Sebe. I don't need a long edge to cut open boxes, strip wire and sharpen my pencil. The PT also fits nicely in my jeans coin pocket so it's tucked out of the way.
I currently have a small classic micarta Sebe and if I could do again I'd get the regular. I prefer the grip a regular gives...I just wish CRK made these with Micarta inlays.

That's exactly what I was wondering about. The shape of the Classic handle limits the amount of space in which a person can properly grab.
