I'm a newbie here. After lurking this site, I decided that I needed a Small Sebenza. I've always been one of those guys that appreciates finely engineered, mechanical products. The knife is great. The action reminds me of the film advance on an old Leica camera.

My question is this...

I don't ever use pocket clips on knives. I just toss them in my front pocket. After removing the clip on the Sebenza, I felt as though the ergonomics, in actual use, were better with the clip on. The handle seems to nestle a bit better with the clip at the base of my two middle fingers.

Anyone else just deep pocket carry the Small Sebenza, yet leave the pocket clip on?

Glad to hear you are getting a Seb!

I vascillate between clipping my small Insingo to my pocket and deep-carrying it with the clip on. I tried to go "clipless" for a few months, but in the end preferred having the clip on.

I carry clipped as well as in the slip sheath for deep picket carry. I leave the clip on and find it is helpful in opening the knife one handed as it provides balance/leverage.

Clipped, always.

I find the clip doesn't bother me or cause hot spots in my hand during use, I think that it's the best clip on a production knife that you'll find.
I had a MT DOC in my hand yesterday and it reminded me just how perfect the CRK design is, the clip on the DOC is horrible!

Clip always even though i deep carry i some times carry it clipped for faster deployment. ^^^ DOC clip what were they thinking!!!

I took the clip off one, a LV inlay. Generally, though, the pocket clip is a useful extra bit of grip/leverage enhancer for opening the knife, so most have stayed on.

I remove the clip on my mnandi's and most of my small knives. The small Sebenza is right on my borderline, mainly I use the clip. I wear dress slacks most of the time for work and where I work a clipped knife would draw attention. So I generally carry a clip less Mnandi in those circumstances.

Clip always, Stays in the CR sheath deep in the right front pocket. I try to make sure it is the only thing in that pocket.

I just drop it in my front pocket with my keys and phone. I don't mind if my stuff looks "used" when it actually is.

I always use the clip and leave it stock. Though I have several sebenzas that have the clip insert as I bought them used and never got around to ordering some clips from CRK. Alot of times I will carry them with the clip in the leather slip sheath as the ergos are better with the clip.

I went clipless with a belt sheath for a couple of months. Then I switched back to the clip. I like having the option to clip or not. I think they look better with the clip too, unless you have a P.

I have to agree with keeping the clip. In my hand the clip and my pinky just go together too well. Congrats on the new knife.

I have the clip insert for one of my small sebenzas, but the rest still have their clips on. For the regulars, I think the clip makes it look better. I carry both ways, in pocket and clipped, and it is nice to be able to change between them. Enjoy your new knife!

I always leave the clip on even if I don't carry clipped. Sometimes that clip can come in handy if you have your hands full or need to put the knife down but don't want to put it one the ground or floor for some reason...and slipping it back in the pocket is contraindicated.
