Small sebenza question

I have a small sebenza. I am wondering if it's normal for the pocket clip screw to protrude some on the inside of the scale when the clip is on and fully tight obviously. Mine protrudes and is somewhat close to the blade when closed. Not near touching the blade just comes thru the scale a bit. Thanks in advance guys. And sorry if it's a dumb question.

Mine doesn't do that. The clip screw is shorter than the others. Try taking the knife apart and see if maybe the screws are mixed up.

Just checked mine and my newer one has a protrusion just a fraction...if I slide a business card in there at just the right angle, it hits it.

It's the right screw. It has a completely different look than the others.

Yea mines a brand new model 21. I mean it protrudes enough for me to see it. I'd say about one thread of the screw is showing.

That's pretty much what my newer one is showing as well MikeyD.

Thanks lisantica! I feel better now! Lol. Man I'm crazy I know haha. Wish I didn't nit pick and overly inspect everything I drive myself crazy. Anyways thank you.

I know how you feel, which is why I figured I had better take a look at mine....I get all wacky over stuff like that too :D

I got my small sebenza directly from CRK in February. The screw just barely, barely, barely protrudes.

Mine is a small Sebenza 21 with the s35vn steel *April 13, 2011* and I can see the screw showing on the other side. Looks close to the blade but I figure with their tight tolerances the blade won't ever touch it. I'd be worried if it were one of my other knife brands. Seems the screw is showing a tiny bit less than half the distance to where the tip rests when closed.

Mines the exact same way Blue your good! The blades dont move in these things! Solid open and closed!!

My June 2009 Small Sebenza's screw is just barely protruding. It's hard to see unless at just the right angle.

Thanks guys! Just seemed weird that crk would do it like that. If I get tired of it I'll get my buddy to make me a new screw one day. He's a machinist. Is that how u spell that? Lol

i wonder if the clip insert is like that as well. anyone noticing this with the large sebenzas or other than 21 models?

is your machinist friends name, trevor reznik? you might want to stay away from him if it is :P

You can shorten the screw with a file !!! No reason to be paranoid ! Thumb studs can be shortened too ! Customize - it's legal ! Now I have to decide what to engrave on mine.
