O.k.... o.k....

You guys got me to buy my first expensive knife -- a William Henry Monarch. Now I want a small Chris Reeve Sebenza.

What are the best places to buy one and how much will I have to pay?

Is the warranty fully honored for used knives? I see they will refinish and recondition one for about $40.

Any advice, or cool pics, are welcome.

Thanks.

Best place to buy, if you have the patience is here on this forum. They come up forsale every so often, and sometimes at a great price. Otherwise pretty much everybody has them at the same or very similar price.

The warranty is honored on used knives. I've never had a warranty problem so I don't think it's an issue.

For pix you should check out the CRK forum.

Honestly, I don't have a strong preference. Maybe the classic. I am open to suggestions on either -- is it purely and aesthetic thing?

New Graham Knives have nice small Sebbies with silver thumbstuds and spacers. I would have prefered these to the standard blue ones that came on mine.

I'm hoping to buy a William Henry Ultra Light very soon. I can't decide between the T9 Kestrel , T12 Spearpoint or B5 Monarch.
Do you have a pic of your Monarch "in hand"?

I have both regular and classic. I'm torn as to which one I really like the most. Either is a good choice. ;)

Steven: I notice that the small Sebenza with the silver thumbstud/spacer that you mention is $30+ less than the regular small Sebenza on the New Graham site. Do you know why? Just curious as small touches like that usually raise, not lower, the price. :)

Prof,
It could be that you are looking at the double thumbstud version at $322.50.
The standard Sebbie has a thumbstud on only one side...

I've found very good deals on higher end knives at gun/knife shows. If none come to your area then I would suggest the BFC "for Sale" forums or eBay. Good luck and post some pics when you get a Sebbie. PS: I like the regular small Sebbie given that the blade has a little more belly to it.
