This knife is going to an Eagle Scout. His father asked if I would make him a knife; I told him it would be my pleasure. I sent the finished knife to Columbus, where my good friend, Burton Harruff made a sheath for it. Thanks Burton.

I'll put the edge on it tomorrow and deliver it.

The steel is 1084. Handle is sambar stag with buffalo, ivory and gold and black double dyed box elder.

The knife is 6 inches overall.

Nice package Fred. Any good scout should be glad to carry that so he can "be prepared" in style.

Fred, what an awesome knife for a young scout. He's a very lucky kid, and I'm sure he will have it all of his life. Great job, but I'd expect nothing less from you.

Fantastic gift for a scout. I believe my "gift" for getting my Eagle award way back in the day was my parents told me I would actually be allowed to drive when I got my license a few years later!

Thanks Guys! Projects like this are really enjoyable.

I'm hard at it Jon; working on a new knife related invention. If the patent process goes smoothly we should be in production the end of next year.

What are you working on?

Fred

Just grinding away buddy! Lots of stuff going on, some new designs in the works, a couple folders....

and I just got a Harig Super 612 surface grinder in the shop so I'm excited to get that up and running!

Hope your new project goes smoothly. I'm looking forward to seeing it in the future.
