Small, sleek and Beautiful - John Perry Folder

I have the pleasure of sharing with you a picture of a John Perry folder. His work is excellent and top notch. The picture is taken by Cooper and really shows off the knife:

I think it's a super little folder. Great choice of handle material.
Not usually a fan of handle / blade damascus combinations, however the pattern transitions and flows so well between the two it's as they are one.

Beautiful little folder.

I am surprised though, John being a MS and using someone elses damascus ???
 
I am afraid the Damascus was my choice - I had it so I thought I might as well use it.
 
It's a small package, but it's a sweetheart. I am impressed that JP would stand behind making this knife no matter that the steel wasn't his. The steel is exemplary, and so it needs few apologies.

Notice the blued and polished backspine.

I used my daily watch to show scale. the 8x10 photo of this knife makes it appear like a handful... ;)

Congrats to Darriel. A fine knifemaker in his own right, with a smart eye for collecting and a talent with leather. :thumbup:
