I've (at various times) owned quite a few Spydies - my current (and,
I think, lasting) favorite is the Ocelot...lockback, G-10 handles, slim blade.

I have a couple mini-dyads (FRN), but I wondering if I'm not aware of some
alternatives that have pocket clips, are less than 3" blades, but are also not so wide-bladed (e.g. dragonfly comes to mind, but the blade is so tall). Basically, something like a Ladybug, but with a clip...

Prolly doesn't exist yet, but thought I'd ask the experts :)

I was just thinking in the last few days that this is an unfortunate hole in the Spyderco line-up. The Rookie was slightly sub 3" before it was discontinued. What I would really like to see is something in the length of the Dragonfly but with a design more in the Delica, Endura, and Ladybug shape. I know I'd buy them like there was no tomorrow.

Just slightly over your length limit at 3 1/8 inches, but with a very slim blade, will be the upcoming sprint run of the Jess Horn Lightweight with a ZDP-189 blade.

Probably not at all what you are looking for, but the Cento 4 has a very slim handle and blade(I'm always trying to push a Cento 4 on someone ;) )

If you want something with a bit more blade, consider the Howard Viele II, wait a few months for the ZDP version of the C38 Jess Horn, or haunt eBay and the BF Exchange for an original C38 or C34 Horn.

And if they make fully serrated versions as well, I too would buy them like there was no tomorrow:D
