Small Spyderco to replace Kershaw Shuffle

I've been using the surprisingly handy Kershaw Shuffle for a month or so steady and was wondering what Spyderco had to offer in the small utility blade sizes. I have a Paramilitary 2 on me as well but it's easier at work to use a small blade for most jobs.

So guys, what does Spyderco offer in the around 2 inch range?

I have a shuffle and I think The dragonfly 2 has a lot of blade utility for its small size and similar grip length. It also has a better clip (deep carry). It'll weigh less than the shuffle. It's also a lockback vs the shuffles liner lock.

Between the two, is go dragonfly.

The next step smaller is the manbug but I wouldn't go that way.

Oh I just looked that one up and actually liked it as well as the Urban.

And now checking eBay I think I may go with the Dragonfly 2 Salt!

The Shuffle is a great design.

For your reference this is Chaparral, Ambitious, Techno, Shuffle, Lava, Dragonfly and Byrd Robin

I feel the pingo has too small a spydie hole but I'm really leaning towards the Dragonfly 2 salt now, unless an Urban came flopping in to my hands for a halfway decent price. Although I'm sure I'd be happy with a Pingo if that happened either way.

I find the techno too pricey, I don't see what warrants that hefty price tag, I mean for that I could buy two decent knives.

Remember that knives aren't priced by the inch or pound. It's like a lot of things, the materials are more expensive, it's a colaberation design and the designer needs to be paid, the fit and finish are superior. Basically you get what you pay for.

Hey Killa, he dfly salt is a great knife. Get the serrated version. Trust me.

Edit: if you feel like spending a bit more, the cf Chaparral is a spectacular little knife!

The hole in the Pingo is supposed to be small, that is what allows it to be legally carried and used in most European countries. You may not be too familiar with various knives, steels, materials used, etc. Which is why you are not able to see much beyond price and appearance.

I don't mind the Pingo, but for my use he DF2 Salt serrated would be best I think. Also I am learning new stuff about knives, the techno is great looking but I myself couldn't buy and use that knife for that price is all. Don't get me wrong it's awesome, but for its price if I were to spend that amount I could get another Paramilitary 2 and something else. Just my opinion though. I do appreciate everyone's input on this subject too and their knowledge they share! Thanks

The Dragonfly2 is a nice knife. I've got the ZDP-189 variation of it. It may very well be at the top of my small knives (sub-2") list. I've been meaning to pick up something in H1 with a full Spyderedge, and the Dragonfly2 Salt is definitely high up on that list.
