I'm trying to find a small stacked leather handle knife for everyday carry. Something like the Case Little Finn would be perfect, but I'd like carbon steel. If I can't find one I like, I'll just buy a GEC H20 of some sort, but I really want a stacked leather handle knife. Any recommendations?

Kabar used to make leather stacked handle hunting knives. Did you check? Not sure if they still do. Is the Blackjack 124 too big?

Check out the Hess Knifeworks Bird and Trout.

The blackjack is too big.
What about an Ontario pilot survival knife.
You could also get a western L48a off eBay.
The L48A is too big too.
Go with the Hess. I highly recommend them. Great knives.

I had forgotten about the Hess knives. They are very nice knives.

I know it's off topic, but I wonder if GEC would have any of their H20s without handles on them. I'd be ok with one if it had amber stag on it!

In case you are interested in a custom, I'm friends with a knifemaker in California, known a RW Fred, who makes beautiful stacked-handle knives in all kinds of sizes. They're mostly forged from old files and available for around $150. You can contact him at happyndn@yahoo.com.

Here's some examples:

If the Western 48A is too big (7-3/4 OAL w, 4-1/2" blade), the other 2 Western options would be either a 48B, 7" OAL with a 3-1/4" blade, or the 28 at 6-1/2" OAL with a 3" blade. Letter prefixes for them would be either "L" or "F" or "6" for all 3. Add "H" as the lead handle designator for the 48A and 48B.

Kabar has the 1232, similar in size to the 48A, so it's also too big. The smaller Kabar offering is the 1226, similar in size to the 28. Both are 1095 steel.
