Small Sting Ray Skin Pieces

I am thinking of doing some inserts on a Mini UDT, and Sting Ray skin is pretty high on my list of desired materials. My only problem is that I can only seem to find whole skins for sale, which would leave me with a TON of excess material I have no use for. All I really need is a small piece roughly 4" x 2" or so for this small knife. Anyone willing to sell me a small piece, or point me to where I might find something smaller than a whole skin? Thanks.

Shame we don't know how to tan the skins.
You can catch all the rays you want down here.
They're actually considered a hemorrhoid fish.
To you non fishing types that's a pain in the butt fish or one that just keeps eating your bait that you don't really want to catch anyway.

Don't you know that most schllups you buy are really ray wings? Not bad.

We caught a bunch of those rays when I went shark fishing with my brother-in-law a few years back. Not the same kind of skins at all but, your right, they make damn good scallops. I prefer the shark though.

Thanks again, I will post some pics of the finished knife as long as I don't make a total mess of things . Might be a while though as I am currently pretty busy trying to finish a basement remodel before school starts up again.
