Small Stockman in Carbon?

Here is my small old timer stockman in cv.

I don't think the Case small stockman is available in CV. To see the current selection, enter CV in the search box: http://www.casexx.com/

The Old Timer posted above is a nice knife; I own several. But the current production Old Timers are stainless (Schrade went out of business in 2004 and new Old Timers are imported from China for a different company).

Bottom right is a Old Timer and and Eye Brand. Both are carbon steel.

I handled a little delrin/carbon Boker at a mom-n-pop store but ended up getting the two bladed pen. It was small, like 3", about the same size at the pen but the sheepsfoot stuck up too high when closed for my tastes.

My understanding is that Moore Maker's slipjoints are mostly made of 1095; Queen has their line of D2 blades.

Just got a Case 6344 in Dark Red bone in CV at 3 1/4"

It has a pen instead of a spey.
The snap on the pen is weak and the sheepsfoot weaker.
Slight blade rub on the sheepsfoot.
The dark red is almost pink!

It will grow on me with use... :)

For the extra money there is no comparision, I would suggest as above, a 3 1/4" Queen in Amber stagbone

Guyon, that is an awesome photo!!! I am in awe!!!

I blame Schrade for going under. When I found out that the company was gone, I started buying up Old Timer and Uncle Henry stockman knives. Those were some of the most recognizable knives from my youth.

Then I sort of just got carried away.
