Hi all,
I'm looking for (among other things) a smallish fixed blade. Drop point, preferably skeletonized, cord-wrappable, handle. 3 inch blade, born of .25 inch stock, stainless steel, suitable for neck (I know it will be a little heavy), belt or pocket carry depending on mood. Something along the lines of a Strider MFS (but thicker stock), Fehrman Thru-hiker (but thicker stock, and stainless, ideally) or Spartan Enyo. You get the idea. I'd prefer production, but...

Can you guys give me some ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Just some advice...I had this knife custom made a while ago and it was the epitome of sharpened pry bar. I would strongly advocate thinner stock because you cant get enough leverage on a knife that size to require the thickness.

Grab an Izula and try to break it :)

But what would be the fun in that? The Izula's a fine little knife, for what it is, but for today's purposes, I'm looking for its big brother, in stainless... :)

Have a good hard look at American Kami. They have quite a few blades that fit that description. I seem to remember Granger knives having something along those lines too. I don't know if you like tanto blades, but have a look at Eddleman knives.

Thanks! I looked the VOX BOB up. An original by Vox and a version by Boker, appears to be on its way. I wonder what the street date is, on it, and I'm curious how fine/fragile the tip is on it. Very interesting option, which I'll keep in mind. Intriguing.

Thanks for the suggestions. American Kami lives in Carbon Steel, apparently. Nothing with Granger jumped out at me. Those Eddleman knives are amazing and visually striking, but, I'm not sure that they're quite what I'm looking for either. Thanks for the suggestions though!

OMYHECKINSLC.... please look at my avatar, 3/16" of A2 cord wrap skeletonized handle, about 3.3" blade, please email me or PM me for details.
