small TGLB problem

Ok I have a problem and I'm not shure where to turn. I got a TGLB and I love it. However the handle is so thick at the palm swell that I can't get a good grip on it. I have been using a swamp rat rc6 and the handle thickness is perfect for me. I know I could take It to the belt grinder and reduce the thickness slightly of the palmswell and it would be great, but I don't want to loose the texture on the micarta. Curse my small arthritic hands! LOL. This is not a design flaw or a fault of the knife, just small hands. ( why do I fell like I'm opening myself up for a bad joke? lol ) Any ideas on how I could have this thinned without it looking like crap? This is basically my first infini and I don't want to half ass it. I know alot of people Mod their Busses so input would be great. Thanks guys........

Personally i would contact Busse and see about getting Garth or one of the guys in the shop to thin the handles down before i let someone else fool with it.

Hi! First off, congrats on your first piece of Infi! If you would like to see what options we have for changing your handle, please email Garth at garth@bussecombat.com. He will be able to help you out  Please allow time to answer due to the Knob Creek show coming up next weekend. Have a great day!

I had the same problem with mine and I just used some files and sandpaper to reduce the thick roundness of the palm swell . I took my time with a rasp at first until it felt just about right, then the sandpaper took it down to just right . I don`t feel like the slight loss of texture has made the grip less secure at all.

Congrats on your first. I am sure that Garth will be able to help you out.

I have one that I need to thin out. KZII. Just a bit too much meat in the handle.

I go the machined handles to try out, knowing I might have to thin them out.
