Does anyone know a good small (analogue) thermometer for camping/outdoor use?

I'm not looking for the coin/button size wristband types, or the 1" long thermometers on some compasses that range from -50c to +50c, but something more serious, where you can tell if it's 21c or 22c, instead of 'somewhere between 20c and 30c'...

All help is appreciated!

Thanks,

Ted,

The supermarket chain Aldi sold some time ago a small radio controlled travel/alarm clock sized about 2.5" by 3" by 2/3" thick and besides synchronizing with the German atomic clock signal it also has a built in digital thermometer that I checked against our very accurate thermostat thermometer and it was very accurate.

I'm not sure if they still sell the radio controlled alarmclock but it's very nice and only cost € 8 or so.

Best Scouting wishes from Holland,

Bagheera

Bagheera, Thanks.
I do have that clock ( or one very similair )
I'm looking however for a smaller 'old-fashioned' one.

Groeten,

Thanks, but I was thinking about something to see how cold it is at night, not to see if the roastbeef is 'done' on the BBQ ;):D

There most be a nice 1"-1.5" brass round thermometer somewhere?

Check FAO Schwartz website. A couple of years ago I picked up a really cool K9 Dog Tag combo clock and thermometer that you can wear around your neck. It has a backlight. Comes in several clear plastic colors and seems fairly reliable.
