I want to carry two knives, one that does rough work and one that does slicing like apples.
I've got the slicer lined up ok (Opinel or tiny Spyderco).
I would like suggestions on a tough knife:
3"(-) blade
Fairly thin handle.
Not real wide handle.

Note- I have a Small Inkosi that I use now for that, but want another a little less costly.

I think the Landi knives PSK would fit the bill, they come up every so often on the fixed blade forums, they were a 59 and A2 steel, about 2.5 inches. Or the EDC at 3.5 inches would be a good worker. I also have been looking at the Manly knives in D2 steel, fixed blade or folder, they have been running about 60. Right now in the exchange in the dealer section (production knives) they are having a Manly sale, with free shipping for forums members and a discount until Christmas Day.

Spyderco Techno. I cannot suggest this knife enough if you are looking for a smaller tough folder. It is also abit cheaper than the CRKs. The techno is the nicest put together Spydie I own. It is ideal for exactly the job you are describing.

Alot of these smaller framelocks feel sort of chunky and inelegant. (Zt 900, Spyderco Chubby...just my opinions) The Techno truly is "a little big knife"

One other idea is the LT Wright Bush baby HC in 1075 steel, around 60 without a sheath.

Spyderco Techno is probably ideal, as has been mentioned, along with the ZT 0900 if you can find one. A Hinderer Half Track might fit the bill nicely as well. It would definitely be the priciest, but might be the best choice in my opinion.

I second the halftrack great small beefy knife. Great flipper too!
