small tradtional fixed blades...

Google Kellam Knives and check out the Finnish made Rosseli Grandmothers knife. It's a very small 2 inch bladed puuko style of knife. I have on and its a great small knife capable of doing some very heavy duty work out of proportion to its size. Blade is hand forged if I recall right.

Goes for about 70 dollars, worth every penny.

I'll second the Bark River line. They have several nice small knives to choose from. I like the "mini" size as apposed to the "micro" of most of the models, but thats just me. I've handled several in both size ranges and all are darn handy.

That Grandmothers knife is a nice little find, jackknife, I'd missed it somehow. Thanks for the spot. I didn't actually see it on Kellam though, but you can take a look at Ragweed forge, or ya know, just google the knife by name.

I have a Bark River Mini Canadian, which is small enough for edc pocket carry, but stout enough to do most of what you'd do with a knife. Mine has decidedly non-traditional micarta handles, but they come in all sorts of natural materials as well.

go to ragweedforge.com and take a look at the helle brand and the brusletto i believe they both have something about that size. also as mentioned above a BRKT mini or mikro canadian would work great, they even have a neat little inside the pocket sheath for it. good luck.

I must say that I am very impressed with my Bark River Mikro Canadian, and seems like every time I take it out I cut myself. It is a fine little skinner, and I have skinned a critter or two with it. It's very tiny, but works well.
