Little utility hunter I am working on. Blade steel is 1084 with cutting edge of maybe 2.5". Blade spine will be rounded off for comfort when pressing down during a cut. Handle is just long enough to get 4 fingers on. Handle slabs are going to be stabilized Amboynia burl with red or brick liners and nickel pins and thonghole. The blade actually has a pretty nice temper line, but is not visible in this pic. Once I get it rubbed to at least 600, I will etch it to bring the line out.

Nice knife, but you seem to be missing a hole in one of the scales:)

 I KNOW I drilled that last hole! Damn thing must have filled back up on me. :)

The wood came from Koval. Those slabs are pretty thick, so this knife will have a little shape to the handle.

I gotta see this knife when it is finished. You have chosen some great materials and so far it looks like a winner.

Nice blade.I just love that wood.I bought 8 really good pieces at a hunting show last year.Couldn't afford to eat the next few weeks, but who cares - it's worth it :D Post a pic when it's done.
