Hey folks,

This one's not for sale. It's MINE! :D I've been meaning to make myself an EDC for a while, and finally got around to it.
I wanted something small enough to carry around unobtrusively, but still big enough to work comfortably. Total length is 8 3/8"
Steel is 1080, with a simple hamon, and the wood is Osage orange burl.
This is the first sheath I've done any tooling on. It's a very simple tooling job, but I'm excited about getting more tools and getting into some more complex stuff.

Thanks for looking!

I think that design in a small or big knife is your trademark in the knife industry. Anyone seeing one of those know's it's a P. Patton.

Great knife and sheath:)

Nice knife! I do alot of tubing pins and finger choils too. I really like your design. Great workmanship. I'm just now tooling up for some leather work myself. I like the sheath too!

Man, I've been waiting for you to make a post with a smaller knife. Outstanding, and great choice with the osage. Use it in good health and make more please.

atta boy! I like that myself:thumbup: Is that a hammon I see?

Thanks guys for the compliments!

Andy, less than what you paid for your recurve version. :)

Marcelo, you should have told me! :D I'll definitely be making more of these.

Brian, Yes indeedy, a pretty simple hamon. I just got some of Don Hansons W2, so I hope to do some hamon experimentation with it, as soon as I get caught up.

Beautiful knife and sheath. I love the osage orange handle. I was introduced to this wood and given a little history lesson during my recent Oklahoma City visit. A knife maker there had a small knife with osage handles. I'm supposed to have some on the way. I look forward to making a knife handle with it.

Hey phillip when you get caught up, post up some pics and let us know you're ready to go. i definitely want one of those with maybe just a tad longer blade to be different from the recurve:D

Will do, Andy. :)
This design came about because a customer wanted a knife he could carry in his pocket. It's basically a three fingered knife, although you can use four easily if you use the choil.

Here's the knife that my knife was a copy of. It's the same except the materials, which are D2 and black Micarta.
