Small Victorinox?

Friday I was mining through my favorite junk shop looking for knives, tools, etc. The glass case was full of the usual flashy Paki crap, but I spotted a small familiar red handle, about 2-1/2" long. Upon examination, I found the unsharpened blade was stamped Victorinox. The other blade was the bottle opener/screwdriver/wirestripper, although it had an extra odd angle on the back of the blade. It was all new except the scales were a little shopworn. The Victorinox stamp looked right and otherwise it had the quality of a SAK that I could recognize.

However, there was no logo on either scale. I passed on it because they wanted $7 (last year, I bought a brand new Deluxe Tinker in this shop for $14).

My question is, why no logo?

Sounds like it could be a Victorinox Rambler, they go for about $15.00 (+/-) new. Not sure why there would be no logo. Though it could be a Rally.

No Yam, it wasn't any of those, but thanks for the link to that page. I kept Googling for Victorinox and all I got were kitchen cutlery pages. This knife just had the main spear blade and the bottle opener. No keyring, no toothpick, no logo, nada. I'll probably go back and get it because I have a sickness for curious knives :D When I do, I'll post some pics.

Sounds like a Bantam. It is slightly bigger than 2 1/2 inches you are describing though. It comes with or without the key ring, but does have the toothpick, tweezers, and a logo :-)

Econo versions of models frequently have surface logos that rub off over time and use. That may have been what you saw.

Could be. I have a Tinker like that, I've carried it for years and it shows, but the logo is mostly intact. This thing looks too new. I'm going to have to go back and buy it tomorrow, I'll post pics under a new thread.

Thanks guys :)
