My first wharnie-
3/32 15N20, convex ground, 2 13/16 cutting edge and 5 inches overall. Stabilized ipe scales, 1/8 brass pins. Mono quench with a differential temper.
sheath is a handle up neck type with a molded lace on inside the pocket clip dealie. Works well, but the clip would have to be stronger if i wanted to pull the knife out one handed. safer to pull the sheathed knife out of your pocket anyhow, this isn't by any means "tactical"
I am doing up a few more medium small knives with this rig and adding a full belt loop that can be laced on, as well. it's classy and versatile, i hope.
few scratch lines in the finish, but the glue line looks sweet and the color on the ipe with the right treatment is pretty nice, I think. I'm still in love with my rustic style, but the ooh shiny thing is fun, too. and maybe this is rustic shiny.
As I figure out the tricks to ipe, and figure out how to get all the splinters out of my hand, it's turning into a really good wood with a lot of character.
I am definitely making more of these, with handle variations(shape and material). Contemplating putting this one up for sale.
