eric brinkerhoff eric brinkerhoff posted this tool in this thread https://bladeforums.com/threads/introducing-the-brinkerhoff-brute.1820667/
What can I say , I like it so I will make one .Look very handy tool for small diameters contact wheels .
I'll simplify it a bit , in my design belt pressure will hold contact wheel in place . I hope it is clear from a drawing of what it will look like. I plan to be on this grinder and since drive wheel is tracking wheel i can make it small profile

Bearing on picture are 8mm inner Dia. I will use 10mm so that stainless bolts will fit perfect there .It is almost done , i need to make contact wheels in different size and to buy bearings

It seems to me that with this design the bearings will heat up less because they are not turning at the full speed of the small wheel. And there are two bearings on each end instead of one

It is very good design Eric , that s way i decide to copy/make it .Depends on contact wheel Dia ratio would be between 2 : 1 and 3 : 1 which is not small.....
This is how it will look on my grinder

bearings are almost touching each other so I will be able to use about 6mm minimum diameter contact wheel ....

A while ago somebody posted a similar design with offset bearings. I cannot find the post, but from what I remember it was a concept and did not get built. I have attached a quick sketch that shows the arrangement with the offset bearings.
