What are a couple of good small (less than 4" blade) fixed blades? Purpose is general utility and should be concealable.

Willing to consider a custom from blade forum makers?

These were all made by Stomper, JK Handmade Knives. The largest has a 3 7/8" blade the smallest has 1 1/2".

You could look at Boker Nealy or Fehrman Thru Hiker, I'm pretty happy with both of these, the same as with F1:cool:

I have a thing for small pocketable vb's. Charles May & Gene Ingram make FANTASTIC small pocketable fixed blades. Here are a few of mine. I have a Charles May Fireant, Handi Scandi, and a Gene Ingram, Pocket Hippo. Also, I have a Tom Krein TK-2 that is a great pocket fb.

+1 for the Izula. I've had mine for about a month now, and it is awesome. Small, non-threatening (even more so if you get it in pink!), and built like a tank. I read on the RAT forum that they just got their first Izula return after 2 years and 4000 sold. It pried open the lock on a door before the tip snapped.

I seem to like the various customs that are akin to heavy duty paring knives in this size of fixed blade.

Not much of a fixed blade fan, but I have kept my small Ingram.

A more widely available knife to consider is the Benchmade 210 series.

I agree with the Izula.

I just go one and its giving my small Sebenza 21 some competition.

I am having some difficulty getting used to the grip, but its generaly pretty OK. The grip will fall into place soon.

It feels more sturdy than a small folder, that is for sure.

Get it in tan or pink if you want non-threatening. Wrap the handle in white or orange cord of some kind.

I don't consider either of these "concealable" unless you have lots of outerwear. I suggest you consider a neck knife like: CR Professional Soldier; Becker Necker; BM Snody; Buck Kaala - although I suspect you'll still end up with the RAT Izula

Izula's are great, I know for a fact the Pa.State Police will give your Izula back after your charged and leave the barracks. At least in South Central Pa.
And no it wasn't me :p But it was my truck.

Umm, maybe I'm just a cheapskate, but how about a CRKT fixed blade Falcon? Nice little neck knife, sharpens nicely, doesn't look tactical, cuts well. Make sure you replace the cahin with some cord though, otherwise the black stuff will rub off on your neck, leaving interesting black lines that may turn on the wrong sort of woman. Not that I speak from personal experience there...
