Smaller Canadian Belt Knife?

So I got the Cold Steel version a couple of weeks ago and liked it so much I splurged for the basic Grohmann #1 with the rosewood scales. The Grohmann arrived today and I'm loving it!

Now I'm hoping to find an elliptical fixed blade with the Canadian Belt Knife style handle but with a blade in the sub 3 inch range; hopefully including a neck sheath.

Any leads or suggestions appreciated!

It's also cool to chime in with your opnion of the CBK, be it lauditory or disparaging!

Something like this? I believe it's inspired by the CBK. The blade on this is just about 3 inches.

Wow! Those are purrty!

I really want the 'traditional' feather/leafy looking blade shape though.

Thanks! [emoji106]

I felt an affinity with the Canadian Belt knife when I first saw and handled this little guy. It's smaller overall than the CS rendition and it's just miles ahead : more versatile blade, better steel, better handle, better finish, better balance, better sheath, I could go on... I own Cold Steel's CBK and I appreciate the pattern but I keep it in the kitchen for small cutting tasks (especially on the board) where it does perform well. The EKT Companion, on the other hand, is in a class of its own : it has earned its place as the one EDC I truly carry everyday and everywhere. And it's not even expensive considering the outstanding quality... Hell, I was going to shoot pictures and Wheeler80 beat me to it ! Whatever, a food pic to boot...

The Bark River Mini Canadian at 6" OAL and 2.2" cutting edge might be one to consider. It is one of my favorite small fixed blades. Here is one of my 3 in Ghost Green G10 and CPM-3V steel. BRKT also makes a smaller Micro Canadian.

That offset elliptical blade is a great design; field-dressed my first mule deer with one. I think Grohmann uses something like 1080 for the carbon steel model. Easy to sharpen, tough, takes a good edge. And Canadian:thumbup:.:D

Seconded the BRKT Mini Canadian. I have a Mikro Canadian, and its a great EDC, although a little small.

I am expecting something similar to what you describe soon from Todd Wielinski. His company name is Tru Saber and the knife is his N2 Neck Knife.

Bingo!

JK Knives! I have a Mini CBK that I Love, the Baby CBK is a touch larger and shows the blade shape better.
Don't mind the Large 21.

Well it looks like there will be a Companion Knife in my future!

Thanks for all the suggestions!

Just sent payment for my Evans Companion Knife with the carbon fiber scales!

The waiting begins....

And I thank you for your support. It's a sexy big little knife. I know you'll love it. I'm honored Bill mentioned it.
