Smaller clip for BM 940?

Does anyone know of a good clip to replace the big ugly one the Benchmade 940 comes with. Something slimmer and more elegant in keeping with the looks of the rest of the knife. A CRKT M16 clip might fit if you don't use middle hole. A Ti skeletonized clip like a William Henry would be great. Would there be enough demand for someone to make a similar one for the 940?

I got some really cool looking chrome ones from Angie at Benchmade. Shoot her an email.
They have a slot down the middle, have a triangular tip and are smaller than those big ugly black ones. REALLY improves the overall look of the 940!

Give BM a call, and get the clip for the 921 Switchback...That's the one mentioned above that's chrome, with a pointy tip and the slot down the middle...

Thanks guys!

I'll give the 921 clip a try. It's still not quite what I had in mind, but it's close.

I put small, black Spyderco clips on my benchmades. They're better looking and the finish is much more durable.

kz, One I know for sure is the small Wayne Goddard micarta. If I recall correctly it's a #49. I'll try to remember to check when I get home. I may still have a tube that they come in. The holes line up perfectly with those on a BM. There are two versions, though, one with the Spydie logo that is anodized black (same as the clip) and on the other the logo is gold on a black clip. Don't think you'd want the gold logo on a BM. If you call the Spyderco factory store and describe the clip, I'm sure they'll know which one you want. (303)279-8613 They're around $4 each.

That's also the same clip used on the Osborne 960-01. I guess BM is using it on current Warren Osborne designs. It is a nice looking clip. :)

Thanks Richard!!! I never even thought to try swapping them.

I wear untucked polos to work 98% of the time, and the edge on the the bottom of the Benchmade clips has eaten holes in the bottom of many of my shirts (the newer BM clips end with an outward facing edge, whereas the old BM and all Spyderco clips have a turn there and a flat that puts the bottom edge facing down). I never ruined a shirt when I was carrying Spydercos, but had chewed up several since I started using a Mini-Griptillian all the time.
