I know it doesn't exist, but does anyone else out there wish there was a slightly smaller version of the Para 2? It would easily be my Spyderco of choice based on looks, blade shape, lock, handle shape, etc. but it's just too big for me to carry comfortably. It seems to me that "mini" versions of knives are always popular and would be consistently good sellers. I'm confident that the Chaparral series is going to be huge (mini sage), and it seems like lots of Spydie people miss the mini manix, as well as other discontinued smaller knives.
There have been many issues that have caused me to completely steer clear of benchmade over the past couple years and rest comfortably in the Spyderco fold. However, one thing I do like about benchmade is that they almost always offer a small version of their knives that is a little more "pocketable".
A knife designed after the Para 2 with a handle less than 4.5" and a blade less than 3" would be amazing. I love my standard sages and delicas, and I'll definitely be all over the Chaparral knives. Would love to see some more capable knife offerings that aren't necessarily a "gentlemen's folder", but are just smaller versions of the tougher knife designs like the para, manix, and others.
A guy can hope, right??
