Smaller Summer Knife

I want to buy a smaller Spydeco for summer pocket carry. I usually carry the Delica 4. Is there something between the Delica 4 and a ladybug? Clip attached maybe?

I picked up a couple of theses for small carry, They are larger than my dragonfly's & smaller than my Delica's

OP: What kind of clothes are you wearing where you won't be able to carry a Delica?

Rickster: What model is that?

I vote for the Dragonfly 2 also. It is a serious contender for my next knife.

If you are wanting a better steel than VG-10 you can look at the Chaparral variants which I believe come with S30V and CTS-XHP.

Nate, thats a Chaparral 2 titanium with CTS-XHP blade steel, they are super smooth and light for an all titanium knife

For something in between a Ladybug and a Delica you can't go wrong with a Dragonfly2. It even comes in rust-proof H-1 steel.

The D-fly2 is a great knife, but if you don't like the sharp corner on the shark-fin-style Spyder-Hole hump, you can always look at the Byrd Robin 2.

The dragonfly2 in zdp189 is amazing holds a scary edge for a long time. You could also try the ambitious its the baby brother to the tenacious and they are really nice knives

D-fly in ZDP really is a big knife in a small package. The "scary sharp" edge is true, handles well and is very light to carry.

I'm ordering a Leafstorm on Thurs ;) Already have the Techno & Southard, need the Leafstorm to complete my TI Framelock collaborations :D

I was going to mention you would probably be happiest with the Dragonfly if you wear lightweight fabric shorts in summer. At 1.2oz it won't droop your pocket down as much as an Ambitious (3oz) or your Delica (2.3oz).

Glad to hear you're happy with your choice.

I have the same dilemma recently and I've chosen SALT 1, fantastic cutter and very lightweight. Good for warm and sweaty conditions.

Did you slay the deer with that knife or did you wrestle him to the ground with your bare hands!
