Smaller ZT

I have a couple of ZT 551's and a 350. These are fantastic knives but I travel in many areas that won't allow blades over three inches. Is anyone else interested in a knife this size from ZT?

We've been working on an internal sub-3" design for a little while now. Not sure when it will makes it's debut.

Why am I nervous with sharing info on proto's now?

me me lol, think I am interested in anything zt these day's! You guy's make one hell of a product!!

I'd love to see ZT outdo the mini-AK47. That is, a sub-3" folder where blade length is the ONLY compromise, one that doesn't compromise on HANDLE LENGTH, sturdiness, deployment speed, and doesn't obsess about weight because it's going to be fairly light anyway.

Aside from civilians who live in places with length restrictions, there are a LOT of military folks on bases or in stages of their careers where they have to live with similar restrictions. Not everyone looking for a sub-3" folder wants the emphasis on light weight, concealment, minimum overall size, harmless appearance, etc.... and none of us, civilian or military, have smaller hands, shallower pockets or less need for reliability because of the local regs.

Fortunately, I don't have to deal with that restriction where I live, but I do when I'm going into the city, or fairly often when traveling. I'd pick up one in a minute.

ZT-0450?

I agree. I have a Strider PT. built like a tank but overall too small. I'd love a ZT with larger handles and a wider blade

Well, not gonna say I wouldn't be interested, but even the 0350 that my wife carries is at the very limit of comfort in my hands. Blade length it great, but I couldn't go any smaller in the handle.

I would love a smaller ZT, no matter what the price to size ratio was.
I currently have 3, a 350, a 302 and a 550, and for no reason other than it is less cumbersome, the 350 gets the most pants time.

I love all of ZT's offerings and there is no better production edged tool brand for hard field use. Transitioning to desk duty during times in-between field work however, they are too big. A 3" or slightly smaller blade length, but built with ZT DNA would be fantastic. I would pay a premium for such a knife with a high performance blade steel, KVT, flipper and framelock.

I would be very interested in a smaller ZT.

Too bad Thomas has to be more careful with what he shares with the public now.

best regards -

I would definitely be interested in a ZT with blade length of 3-inches or less. KVT, flipper, liner or framelock and preferably in manual please.
