Smallish thin folder and a fixed pocket carry suggestion

Hello!

These are my musings about my collection.

So I separated (in my mind) all my knives into EDC group and a group of knives for other specific purposes (heavy duty, butchering, etc). I'm a little amused that this took me three years to realize. But anyways, as to my EDC pieces in rotation, I heavily filtered my current folders. I removed from EDC a nice mini-Grip because its handle is too short, and I'm pondering whether I need to say bye Spyderco Military -- it's kinda bulky in my pockets. This comes to a sweet-spot for me, 3-3.5 in blades, my current miniCQC7, a Kershaw Blur I want to buy.... And I'd like to get some fixeds for pocket carry as well:
  • Spyderco Bill Moran,
  • Buck Paklite,
  • BRKT Lil' Canadian,
  • or some custom from makers here.

My decisions about miniGrip and Military were rather sudden. I just decided that I need to move on to other choices.

Also, I want to start carrying a smaller blade that will be always with me. Just a little more friendly looking. It feels uncomfortable to open a Military or other such tactical blade to just cut a packaging in front of others.

I wanted to try Opinel and maybe other slimmer options, or something on a keychain, like to Ladybug or micro Recon by Cold Steel.

So, I would be glad if you can suggest some fixed blades for pocket carry, with slim handles, with appropriate sheathes (kydex or leather).

Thanks again and sorry for too many letters.

I was eyeing the Buck paklite caper as a small fixed blade, but I don't think it offers much more performance that my Svord mini peasant that I EDC. For a smaller blade, I really love the Victorinox Classic. It is always on my keyring, and I use all the tools at work. The small blade is surprisingly capable, especially on cardboard. A few days ago, a screw impaled my bike tire, and the screw driver tip on my Classic was the only way I could get it out in the field.

I would also consider the Mora 2/0 (not the #2), which has a 3" blade. It's a more traditional flavor, though.

I see you're thinking about the BRKT Lil' Canadian. You might also look at the PSK in 154CM. Great little knife, comes with a leather pocket sheath to hold the knife and small flashlight.

Here's a shot of mine with a Bic for size reference. I carry a foursevens AAA prion with it in the sheath in my front pocket.
