Smart Money Clip

I have one and am well pleased with it. Mine is polished stainless i use it for dress and sundy go to meeting. Ive never had any cards fall out and the clip is strong, hope this helps.

That looks pretty cool. I've never used a money clip, but this may turn out to be my first.

Wow, I've been trying to get rid of my wallet for years now. I was this close to just buying a cigarette case a little while ago and held off because I didn't like that.

This clip looks about perfect.

David Allen,
Thanks for the info. That helps. I have been using a front pocket slim wallet for a year or 2 now, but it is coming apart. I saw this clip in a catalog, and was hoping some one had one, or at least info about it. :)

David,
How thick is it by itself. The ad says it is 1/2 thick with 5 credit cards. Just wondering. Thanks! Time to place an order, unless www.1SKS.com is going to be selling them, then I'll wait. :)

Blades

Figures that those guys are in Jacksonville Florida! I could have checked them out in person before we moved to KY.

I might have to pick up those Automatic Card thingies though - that's pretty cool.

I have one thrown in the drawer. It just doesnt hold much.I got a small thin wallet for my stuff and use a money clip for the bills. You shouldnt keep pictures of the presidents in your wallet anyway. You can make one just like it with kydex and it wont set off any metal detectors so you dont have to show your cash when your money clip does.Kydex is pretty simple to work with anybody can do it.

Blades, the dimension of the card holding side is about 1/4",the clip side measuring from the hump to the face of the card side is makes the whole thing approx 3/4" thick. I can keep 5 cards in it with no problem at all even one card will not dislodge without pulling it out. Bills stay put also, for the money you just cant beat this this inovative money clip!

Thanks for the heads up on the resellers info - I'll be giving them a call on Monday.

Question: Where is the best place to buy wallets that have pen holders within (Elastic). I have been looking at the Fisher wallet that holds the bullet pen ... anything else out there?

Thanks,

Ryan

PS. I did find these in a UPS Store for $1.79 made by Staedtler:

Actually not a bad case for the price, the pen of course is no fisher by any means. Great giveaway for new clients/customers though.

I had a similar item. Just make sure that the holder is solid and not just coated in the shiny silver metal. I purchased one and within a week the shiny chrome on the outside started breaking off leaving jagged pieces that cut up my hand pretty well. I returned it and opted not to have a replacement. Most likely mine was an individual defect or the exact one I purchased was just crap. But I will never own another. Just my 2 cents.

Doesn't Lifter make a wallet with a Fisher Pen holder? Or is that just a sheath?

Wow! That looks like a very cool and unique money clip. I’ll have to look into it a bit further and might pick one up. After perusing the rest of that website, I’m finding a bunch of other cool stuff as well! Wow!

Years ago, I came to the same conclusion Spark has. I HATE big, fat wallets filled with a million things. So, I found a wallet that it so small it can only carry three credit cards (Am/Ex, Visa, Debit Card), my driver's license, my "License to Carry Concealed Pistol," a picture of my wife and kids, and 3-5 business cards. This wallet is a wonderfully made by Eddie Bauer and survived the washer/dryer test without one adverse aftereffect (I can't say that about ANY OF THE CONTENTS...you should have seen the credit cards; they were a mess!).

My money, at least the bills, live neatly in a leather, magnetic-type money clip ("neatly" means small bills to large bills, with all the heads facing the same way) made by Fossil. It is slightly padded, so it has a neat “tactile” feel. I HATE COINS, so I just do not carry them! If I get some coins in a store as change, I would put them back in my car upon my arrival and leave them in a "coin purse" which also holds my gas credit cards (remember that I have a "really small wallet" and don't have room for them, only in my car).

from the link in the original post: "Will not alert most airport security systems."

If the above statement is true, I am conflicted. The airport security is worse than feared, raising my level of fear and discomfort, and yet there is more hope of being able to have some basic tool with me at all times, if I only knew which airports were "most". Worse, the ad implies that passengers should try to pass metallic objects thru the airport security on a regular basis. When it is detected in the tighter airports, it will cause delays. When (if) it makes it through a looser station it would possibly point out holes in security. If the company is implying that the wallet will regularly make it through security, I think I know what metal will become the terrorist's favorite. I wonder if it will hold an edge or a point?

If the statement is false, then how can we believe any of the other claims in the ad?
