Smart watch

I decided to see where everyone else is at. I suppose. I bought a galaxy gear off eBay for 180ish. I've rooted and flashed a custom ROM to it. Still I'm having trouble finding its niche. Do any others here have some in site to this ? Thanks for reading.

I've seen them offered as an auxiliary to the Note 3. Without that , it's just a watch, I guess.

Love mine. I expect less from it than it can deliver which, I assume, partly explains why. I have a longstanding love of watches but my desire to own other watches disappeared completely once I purchased my Gear.

The upcomming Moto 360 looks pretty cool. I ride a bike everywhere, so pulling my phone out every time I get a notification or whatever isn't always safe or convenient. Most wearables are plastic and bulky, but the Moto 360 looks pretty stylish and classic.

G-Shock has a Bluetooth watch, that connects with your smart phone and does basic notifications, etc. I've considered getting it.

I understand the convenience but when I was out bicycling, I wasn't paying attention to anything but the ride!

Oh, wait, we didn't have smartphones, um, we didn't have mobile phones then.

Did Samsung come out with a new model Gear? The one I saw was in an ad for the Note 3 and the whole setup looked so nice, I entered the give away -- but I wasn't up for buying them.
