E-mail sent on tin chirra! Just hope my mail works. Going to have to go on a khuk moratorium until at least Jan. at this point.

Now just so my employer doesn't give us a "Jelly of the Month" Christmas bonus I should be OK!

Can't believe if someone hasn't already gotten the USA stag chiruwa AK... we'll be crying a river if these antler-handled khuks stop coming. Wish I'd gotten the stag M-43 a few weeks ago. Congrats Norm on the tin chirra! On my list for next year...

AA, I was drooling over that exact stag M-43 myself! Wish I had been able to nail that one. I have two M-43's but am thinking about trading them off as neither fits my hand very well and their handles are somewhat plain, at least compared to what we have been seeing lately!

The other two misses I wish I had been on faster were a gorgeous orange osage Junge and an orange osage hanshee, both of which Dave H. immediately snagged without the slightest regard for anyone elses feelings! (Sniff, snuffle! 'Taint fair!)

I do hope also that they can keep up this flow of nice USA wood and antler; nice stuff!

Regards,

Norm

Yeah, Norm... the "Toronto Fin" pulled an Osage Orange chiruwa out from under my nose once... he must have a weakness for the O.O. ...

More power to him, though.... Karma catches up. I heard he's being stalked by ninjas who can make themselves invisible, scale walls like a spider, etc. Even disguise as one's spouse. Scary. Then, add in the animated concrete pillar that chases cars, and man. He can keep those orange khukuris.

AA :D  :footinmou

You're right AA! I think Dave's only option at this point is to sacrifice all those O.O khuks to the "God of the Concrete Pillar", or else he's in for another $2K worth of grief I'm afraid! :( A small price to pay for true peace of mind!

I think you and I should be in charge of receiving the goods in order to appease the evil pillar God. No, no thanks are necessary. I'm just glad to be able to help out a fellow forumite in trouble! :D

Regards,

Norm

oh that raktha tin chirra is a hell of a fine example of a khukuri.
Put that on a plaque.
Man, thats nice.

Okay...someone point me to where I missed this. Is Sgr Khadka aka Sgt Karkha? Do we have someone new at BirGorkha?

Why hasn't anyone bought that Chiruwa AK yet? The handles alone are worth the price of admission.

I probably would if I had 125 layin' around. And christmas wasn't coming. :( Always liked the Chiruwa. Now, with the handles, DAYAM!

Darnit, that village WWII's gone... I was gonna give that thing a nice home, just like the stag M43 you two, Ad Astra and Svashtar, were droolin' about. Okay, I just had to throw that in... Gloating done.

I had resolved not to buy anymore khuks this year in anticipation of Yvsa's Fox Folly special order around the corner, but . . . I can't believe that the stag-handled chiruwa AK is still available - email sent.

Sgt. Kharka has evidently been reassigned but still makes some every now and then although he isn't at BirGorkha. And his son Ram is still in medical school last I heard. Another good deed from the folks who bring you the blades.

Pala, Uncle Bill, Yangdu, Gelbu and many more take your purchases and turn them to meritorious purposes.

No one's lapped up the Kothimoda? Come on, guys! I'm a poor student again, so I need some relief from the night shift! :D

Let me try asking again:

Is Sgr Khadka aka Sgt Karkha? Do we have someone new at BirGorkha?

Uwinv, I think it's a typo since the d & r are so close together. And methinks Yangdu is doing much, most, if not all, of the posting these days for the on sale stuff and isn't used to using the computer.
Bill done well teaching Yangdu while he was still feeling halfway decent.:)
