Recently bought my Dad one of these at his request. However, I decided that I would really like to have one myself. Thing is, I seriously dislike the sheath for it, as well as for my cheapo SOG.

What would be the best way for getting a kydex (or at least better functioning nylon) sheath for these that would allow me to attach them to my bags? I am wanting my SOG on my day hike bag and my S&W on my BOB.

So, ideas?

You could buy the kydex, and make them yourself. Or, find a sheath maker here that would do it for you. There's also plenty of leather sheath makers here as well.

Is there a preferred type of sheath for Tomahawks? I'm relatively, no make that completely new, to anything but firearms and knives but I know that both sheaths on both Tomahawks leave a lot to be desired. If I can't feel its secure at the same time that I feel I can deploy it quickly, I don't like it.

Check out how the sheaths for the Dan Winkler hawks, RMJ, and even the GG&G Battlehawk work. They all deploy out the bottom, quickly.

Thanks. I'll check them out. Ive looked at DW stuff before but have never seen the sheaths for them.
