Ok, so I went to a couple pawn shops yesterday to find some good deals on knives. While I was looking, I saw a strange Smith and Wesson. After, looking at it closly, I bought it and now im very interested in the design. Take a look and see what it resembles.

I think Boker's Magnum line sold that knife for a while. Meh, it is one of the cheap, Stridereque knives that shows up in the lower end of the knife world. Nothing wrong with it.

It sorta resembles if two striders inbreed with each other and had a kid then two Grayman's did the same and had a kid and then those two resulting knives got together and had a kid.

It doesn't look much like either, about the only thing strider like is the butt of the handle and the texture of the scale so its a stretch but I can sort'a see it.

Yeah, this is what I was thinking. When i saw the scale, I thought Strider.

To be fair, that texture isn't native to Strider either. I'm sure it's been around forever, but Simmonich brought it to the frontline with his "Gunner" grip texture. Strider took stake in the company after Simmonich passed away.

It looks like a dog bone was sanded down on one side completely flat and than on the top/bottom than cut in half to sandwich a blade in it and than had detents drilled in it to resemble a gold ball. But that's just me and what I see.

I think I've seen a knife quite similar to that which was also a cheap knife, I don't recall who made it though.

There are some more variations of this type made by Smith & Wesson and Boker;

Its a pretty good knife accually. I put a magnificent edge on it with my Smiths sharpener. Although, it is a little bit to carry haha. The handles look like a Strider but feel no where near as good.
