Smith PP1 worth my time?

For sharpening a "cheap work knife with serrations" only - I'd say yeah go for it and post back and let us know how you liked it. ;)

That actually works rather well for a serrated edge, though it takes time and a careful eye making sure to get each and very valley. But remember to flatten the opposite side first!! A sheet of 400 grit sandpaper will work well for that purpose.

Read that somewhere - "for every five passes in the serration grooves make one on the flat side. I do my one serrated knife like that. I'll do every little groove lightly (easy - it's a Kershaw) 5 passes and then flatten the back a pass, maybe two, on a fine Spyderco ceramic rod - works great.

The ceramic side of my PP1 is starting to seem to get my edge sharper, i use it quite often now on my inexpensive work knife and its doing a good job. I think its already paid for itself how cheap it was.
