Thought some of you might want to see this modern traditional knife and how it compares to others...

Seems to be a quality piece. My one crit, it takes a very strong pull to open it, right now it wants to rip my fingernail off. Hopefully it gets smoother.

Do you know if Smith and Sons manufacture that knives themselves or outsource production?

From their website:

"THE LEGACY TRAPPER WAS DESIGNED AND PROTOTYPED BY SMITH & SONS KNIFE CO. AND MANUFACTURED EXCLUSIVELY FOR SMITH & SONS BY MASERIN CUTLERY IN MANIAGO, ITALY"

Just wanted to provide you guys with an update. After opening and closing it a few times, it start to have a gritty action and when opened fully had a wobble to the blade (not side to side; front to back). I also noticed the inner liners were a bit sharp and surface scratched my thumb.

This one will be mailed back tomorrow and I will hopefully receive a replacement with better QC.
