Hi everyone, let me present you my performance test and set of knives for judgment on AGC (Gaucho Bladesmith association/Brazil)
I apply for the test last month, december/22, and i was approved.
I also won two awards with the knives i made for the test, best gaucho knife and best kitchen knife. (i'll show them in another thread)
I'll make a quick presentation of AGC from Brazil, this association is the only one legally registered in Brazil, it was criated in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, the Brazil state of "gaucho" where the culture of knife is really strong and bonded with figure of the "pampas cowboys" the gauchos, just like our brothers from Uruguay and Argentina are both gauchos too. Despite that the association accept members from any part of Brazil and the world.

The smith test (cuteleiro forjador), is smiliar to ABS test, we do a performance test and table judgment test.
Performance test (obligatory to make a gaucho forged integral knife)
2 cuts of 2"x4"
1 cut 1" cisal hanging rope
Cutting 2 stripes on thick cow leather (to test the tip)
Shaving hair and cutting paper proofing the sharpness
90 degrees bending test
Table Judgment test, carbon steel for this level
1 gaucho integral knife, obligatory
2 knives on your choice
This year 9 knifemakers apply for the test, but i was the only one approved!!!
