I bought this little charm from my local Gander Mountain. Apparently, they didn't sell well over the Christmas season... They recently dropped the price from $19.99 to $9.99. If you live near a Gander Mountian, go check it out!

The knife comes with a torx key and a removable clip.

Great small knife, great price... That's my two cents.

Thanks for looking,
Dan

Smith & Wesson is not highly thought of on these forums. They use inferior materials. It may be hard to prove but there have been several acusations about taking other companies designs. Also designs that look very much like many custom makers. On top of this you are getting a folder with not much fit & finish and lower end blade steel.
I think there are many alternatives.Buck,CRKT,Kershaw,Spyderco,Benchmade,Kabar,Camillius-(EDC).
Thats off the top of my head.I'm sure there are many other knife companies you guys can help Dan out with.Dan hopefuly one of these yrs.you can make it to a real custom Knife Show. Goo:) d Luck

What Robb said. S&W don't have the best reputation. Great pics though. And if you are happy with the knife, that is all that matters.

Yes, it's made in China, but the Pocket Protector is a licensed Darrel Ralph design. I bought one (on Darrel's recommendation) and, while I doubt that the blade steel is actually 440C (more likely the 8Cr13MoV that Spyderco uses in their Byrd line), fit, finish, and materials are all good. For the price, it's a nice little knife.

A decent " beater " for $10 bucks and if you ever have to lend anyone a knife now you have one. And with the money you saved you can buy another knife that doesn't say Taylor or United or Frost...

It is fine knife. Here fine means useful, practical, reasonably priced, etc.. Not top notch, but no serious fault either.

Ok, I have one, and like it. It is a little knife; a tad bit bigger than Kershaw Chive. It's good to clip on your belt loop. Easy to access. Works fine for small tasks like cutting paper, wrapping, etc.
The edge holding is, well, not its strong point though. But considering its light use, I say ok. It sharpens ok. For me, it took about a month or so use before resharpen. For comparison, it took me about three months of use for my Leek to resharpen.
I say the blade steel is on softer side.
The pivot became a bit loose after months of continuous use. It is easy to tighten.
Frame lock holds good.
The skeletal handle offers usable grip, if not particularly secure. OK for light use, but not that great. It offers clumsy grip under certain grip position.

Sum it up. It is fine knife as a backup/secondary knife in addition to a regular one. Good for various small tasks. The small size/non threatening look is a plus around nervous people.
