I have a smith & Wesson SWAT that has a button to automatically open it-the button no longer functions...does anyone know where I might be able to have this repaired?

Buy a new knife, and a good one. Your S&W knife is not even worth repairing.

"Throw it in the gutter and go buy another"

It may be hard to find an quality automatic at that price range (strictly conjecture). However, Kershaw has a good variety of manual and assisted inexpensive models to choose from. You can probably find a fair selection at most Walmarts.

Hang around a bit as there is so much more to see.

What do you mean by "the button no longer functions"?

The button doesn't depress? Something is probably lodged in the mechanism.

The button depresses, but the blade doesn't open? Broken coil spring. You can find replacements online.
