Smiths Diamond Bench Stone

Hi everybody. I was just wondering if anybody had used this product? Any comments?

I have to admit I am just hopeless at sharpening but want to at least try to do them by hand. My ultimate aim is convex edges and this product looks a bit like the ol' sandpaper on a mousepad trick taken to the next level. At least I think the substrate is pliable, I'm not sure.

"flat metal surface" - I don't think its flexible. Most diamond bench stones are not.
